Debating someone about whether Islam is the true religion is like debating someone about whether the Earth is flat.
When it comes to Christianity, I am a presuppositionalist. Look up Cornelius Van Til. I believe it is a waste of time to try to prove Christianity.
However, I am always open to a live discussion about why I believe Islam is a fear-based religion that cripples its followers, why so-called “radical Islam” is simply Islam, how Christianity and Judaism built the West, and why Islam is incompatible with Western civilization.

It has a choice. It can lead on re-engaging with Iran, build a new comprehensive framework agreement and non-aggression pact with Iran. As part of that it can deliver a pathway to sanctions-relief and some financial windfall and investments. And the GCC states will be part of a joint mechanism for Hormuz that might even favour Iran financially.
Iran wants a clear prospect to money coming in (won't come from tolls and fees to the extent it is needed) and it wants to affirm its status (the GCC can grant Iran status).
The benefit for restraint on the Iranian side has to outweigh the benefit of disruption/spoiling.
