@NeoNontso @Anele Yes, browning them once on the braai stand is enough. The liquid won’t wash away the smoky taste, instead, it will infuse with the braise, and that will enhance the flavour 🔥

Brown it on the braai stand to lock in that smokey flavour and give it a color. then slow cook it in the oven, stove top or in a heavy pot in the fire. You can take it back to the coals after this if you want but I’m sure it’ll be Smokey enough already. Please send a plate when you’re done. Thanks. 😂❤️

I want to make an oxtail that has been braaied. Most of the research I’ve done says I must braai it first then slow cook. I need the science on what If I slow cook it and right before i starts falling off the bone, I put it on a wood fire then back to a strained broth for the last final cook in the oven?
