One time I paid $150 for art from an artist I dreamed to work with. They messed up my character design on a ref sheet and were really difficult to work with regarding fixes, then I had to keep telling people to draw her differently than the ref sheet because it was drawn wrong and I ended up getting back a lot of art with different design aspects that were wrong because of it. I ended up changing my entire outfit after that from pure frustration, and I'm out hundreds of dollars on art I can't use. IDK how people can do a ref sheet and not communicate the details properly. I don't think I'll ever comm a ref sheet again. Might draw my new one myself...
