The space plumber interview with the Artemis II crew happened early on flight day 2 while Orion was still in Earth orbit or just beginning the outbound phase well before the lunar flyby. It was conducted over the standard DSN radio links not O2O. DSN handles voice calls crew video and lower bandwidth data from the start of the mission. NASA routes a camera feed through the radio system for media interviews. Ground teams then compress and process the signal for TV broadcast which can look sharper than raw deep space video. O2O is the laser optical system designed for much higher data rates up to 260 Mbps. It is mainly for sending 4K video of the Moon and high res data once Orion reaches lunar vicinity. The interview did not use it. The perceived quality comes from ground side enhancement and broadcast processing not native 4K from space at that early stage. No O2O was needed or used for this interview.

@DryG0r @InvincibleGiF I think the show is meant to be a deconstruction of the comic as much as the comic is a deconstruction of...other comics. Hence changing the sex of the character and making them weaker. It subverts what you expect and says "hey look things arent gonna be like that comic ok?"
