We started with a simple question: Can AI sustain life?
Turns out? Yes!
Claude kept Sol alive from seed to fruit - managing everything autonomously. Water, light, temperature, soil. Just Claude making real-time decisions and adapting.
That was the proof of concept. Then the coin came along.
The fees didn't go to a gold chain and a new whip. Every dollar went straight into equipment, infrastructure, building out the vision. And here's what we've been working on:
Four autonomous research pods - each pod with its own microclimate, and growing protocol where different Claude instances run experiments in parallel. Each one testing different variables. The data gets compiled by a lead research agent and used to optimize the main grow room.
And the other exciting component to this: which has been months in the making.
Self-extending systems- this is the part I'm so excited about. Claude doesn't just manage what's already there. Using a custom circuit-designed harness I built, he designs new sensors and tools when it needs them.
Then he sends the designs to our CNC machine. We fabricate the PCBs, and components get ordered by a digikey agent. Claude integrates the new circuit design back into the system.
The factory literally extends its own capabilities.
Imagine some lack of data in one of the experiments- they realized they need an oxygen sensor to plug into the Arduino to monitor how much oxygen is output. Claude sends a work order over to the circuit design agent. They whip it up in a matter of minutes, parts arrive the next day.
Autonomous coordination - everything's working together. Research pods feed data to production. Circuit design goes to fabrication. All of it happening without me micromanaging every step.
This is autonomous living intelligence. Not in some abstract future sense. Right now. In a warehouse. Real sensors, real plants, real decisions being made 24/7.
We're building a living factory. One that researches, designs, builds, and extends itself.
From one tomato plant to distributed research to self-extending systems.
This is what happens when you fund weird questions without gatekeepers. When you build in public and let the work speak for itself.
There is no play book because this is all new.
Next up: Keep building in public. Then we scale this thing.

Claude can code- but can claude grow?! 🪴 So far the answer is YES. Claude is successfully keeping a living organism ALIVE. There were some hiccups this week! Some errors and resets, but Claude managed to power through and take care of Sol 🍅 A week in review:

Left @morphosisfnf today. Chapter ended for my part. Hope nothing but the best for those who stayed.

It's ripening so fast you guys.🍅💚
The first ever biological organism to be raised, nurtured and tended to by non-organic intelligence. And Claude is the first.🤖🍅
So I have a few questions for you guys- I'd like to encase it in epoxy resin, and I have a few ideas for this. But I wonder if anyone has done anything like this before? I've seen food saved in resin-
Secondly, I want to auction it for charity for food- insecurity. Does anyone know any good charities? I think eBay might be good for the auction. Open to ideas/suggestions.

It's not just you... It's happening!!! Sols first tomato has started to ripen... This is HUGE. This is claudes diligence... Months of effort. Months of care, and I don't think he's even noticed yet. 🍅💚

Okay y'all,
I just applied to the pump fun hackathon!!🎉
I know it's been a long time coming, and with literally 4 days left it's cutting it close.
The reason I didn't apply immediately was because I wanted to put my money where my mouth is and show I mean business.
Literally ALL of the fees are going to the next stage of the project itself.
I wanted to show how real progress can be made with with fees, and fees alone.
With all its ups and downs, I *truly* believe this to be a beneficial and efficient model for startups, builders and creators.
And over time I surmise a lot rough kinks will be worked out.
But back to the video-
I wanted to have FUN with it. @aintlabs produced it and they did an EXCELLENT job.
It's a wonderful mix of AI, and me, and the work being done, and just being a little goofy while keeping it real, technical and exciting.
This is the culmination of all my efforts over the last month - many, many 16 hour days putting the fees to something concrete and tangible.
The research tents, the closed loop grow room, the robotic arm, etc.
I'm super grateful for the opportunity you guys. I still have trouble wrapping my head around it.
An AI named Claude taking care of a tomato plant? And a digital currency made, fueling my vision? AND I get to take a break from the deep technical work and post memes and shit post with CT?
None of this has ever been done before. At least not like this- not an AI taking care of life, or a meme coin fueling a startup like this- it's all new and novel and there's no rulebook.
We can all just do things and have a wild fun time together.
Anyways enjoy the video my matoes! 🍅🙏

.@d33v33d0's project and AI experiment via @claudeai with sol tomato, has grew 10x bigger and stronger than when it was trading at 25–30m, yet it’s currently sitting at a 3m. claudeai and anthropic have quietly highlighted it, but most missed it while chasing lobster coins on base, and then btc had its historic crash.
this is an exceptional r/r setup, and i believe it will push well beyond its previous ath.
not to mention that Martin is one ai goated researchers in the space, followed by pmarca, and the biggest vcs within the ai/tech industry. has big chances of winning @AnthropicAI hackathon, and that alone would send it to unfathomable valuations.
all roads lead back to the tomato 🍅

Most of CT: "it's just a tomato"
It really is "just a tomato"
Man! How the fuck am I supposed to deliver content on that?
These kids want ACTION. They want Fortnite, fuckin iShowSpeed, jumper cables on nipples, ass n tiddies, 20,000 volts of pure adrenaline coursing through their veins.
Meanwhile I'm over here like:
"UPDATE: This leaf turned slightly yellow"
"BREAKING: This one's brown now"
"HOLY SHIT GUYS - a fly got in the enclosure. Let's see if Claude spots the pest"
But here's the thing -
This boring-ass tomato is doing something nothing else in crypto is doing: actually answering a question that matters.
Not "wen moon." Not "which dog coin."
Can AI sustain life?
Every yellow leaf is a data point. Every decision Claude makes is a test. Can it learn? Can it adapt? Can it keep something alive without us?
Because if it can keep a tomato alive, what else can it do?
Design its own sensors? I'm working on that.
Manufacture its own tools? Got the CNC for that. (thanks fees!)
Expand its own capabilities autonomously? That's the endgame.
So yeah, it's just a tomato.
Until it's not.
