@voteforhani Also if your salary was just £1,420 less a year you'd pay 7.1% pension contributions vs 9.3%. Meaning you pay an extra £621 a year for pension. really unfair !! nhspay.co.uk/Pension.php

1/ A thread about annual allowance in 21/22👇 [+ new free tool]
Many will have received a nasty brown envelope from @nhs_pensions this week. If you have (and even if you haven't) you may need to take action. Pay attention and share (please RT) with colleagues who may need this!

National Insurance impact on NHS pay shown on new NI page. For example a B2 on 1st paypoint will be just under £40 better off whilst highest paid exec will be £100's better off. Source: nhspay.co.uk/National-Insur… #EnoughlsEnough #nhspay #NHSPayRise #minibudget2022

Backdated pay rise for NHS staff might as well not have happened, day light robbery the amount of tax, NI, pension and student loan has come out this month 😩 #NHS #nhspayrise

@_jessicavi Just keep focusing on the patients. Ignore the dinosaurs ❤️ xx keep at it. We need you xx

@LisaBarbour12 Yeah, but what we put in makes no difference to what we get out (2015 pension is only 1/54th into pot regardless of what we put in). 🥲

Absolutely heartbroken for my colleagues who are taking home less pay due to the pay rise. All the hard work they do and for what ? We are going to see a huge rise in demand for food banks #NHSPayRise

@CliveFlint @karenswiss @Lucy_cat_lady They would be better off financially if they had a week off unpaid. This would put them in the lower pension bracket.
English

@karenswiss @Lucy_cat_lady Ah, that wasn’t mentioned.
That’s not a good outcome. :(

@garyholc @SophieDetraux @jeremycorbyn @AmandaPritchard @UnitePolitics @unisontheunion @PharmaSupport @PharmacistCoop @the_pda If you had 4 days Unpaid leave you would come under the new pension threshold and stayed at 9.3%. This would have cost about £744 in pay but you'd have paid about £840 less in pension contributions.

**The ‘PAY AWARD’ will be backdated to 1st April 22 and due to this your pay for September could be around £200 LESS **
‘Pay award’ = less take home
Disappointed to be greeted by this letter when I arrived home after my 39 hour NHS shift of work/on call. #nhs #nhspay #NHSPayCut

@brayjamPAA @SophieDetraux @jeremycorbyn @AmandaPritchard @UnitePolitics @unisontheunion @PharmaSupport @PharmacistCoop @the_pda Unfortunately true. £42 net pay more a month when comparing top B7 to bottom 8A. nhspay.co.uk/NHS-Pay-Summar…
This month, most B7s took home more than 8As
English

@SophieDetraux @jeremycorbyn @AmandaPritchard @UnitePolitics @unisontheunion @PharmaSupport @PharmacistCoop @the_pda Not sure it's worth going from band 7 to 8a under current terms and conditions. Increased pension contributions and no enhancements for overtime work...
English

@SophieDetraux @jeremycorbyn @AmandaPritchard @UnitePolitics @unisontheunion @PharmaSupport @PharmacistCoop @the_pda Will the new pay rate be equalised across the year so that this extra taken in September will come back in October ??
English

@lyndsaymcamero1 This is the same for some B5s and some Band 8As nhspay.co.uk/NHS-Band-8A-Pa…
