Labour keeps the world running but whose labour is valued? Feminists have long named it: unpaid care work, informal work, and survival labour sustain economies while remaining invisible. This #InternationalLabourDay, we demand dignity, protection, and justice for ALL workers.

During our Kampala visit with @GlobalFund, @VIiVVHC & @GSK, we visited @AfricaSexWork’s Lady Mermaid offices home to a drop-in centre for sex workers. They’re leading work to reduce stigma, train key actors, and improve access to health services.

We hosted @GlobalFund, @VIiVVHC & @GSK in Kampala 🇺🇬 for a monitoring visit of #WhatGirlsWant (Gender Equality Fund). We shared our advocacy & movement-building work with the Ugandan cohort and focal point. A fruitful day of learning & solidarity

HIV is not only a health issue, it is a justice issue. Women living with HIV still face criminalisation, discrimination in healthcare, and violations of bodily autonomy. As Resolution 60/2 is reviewed at #CSW70, governments must act.

Over the weekend, the Ugandan #WhatGirlsWant cohort met in Kampala to finalise their 2026 advocacy plan. The agenda prioritises SRHR access, HIV justice, quality healthcare, and the protection of AGYW’s human rightsas we work to close persistent gendered inequities.
