This Friday 15/11, our Autism through an Autistic Lens exhibit opens at the @Tolbooth gallery in Stirling, showcasing artwork and photography by autistic adults who participated in my research. The exhibit will be on until the 31st of December and the venue is fully accessible.

It was really lovely to finally meet Emily in person at #Museums2024! Speaking to (and with) so many people about neurodivergence within museums (both visitors and the workforce) was a really wonderful highlight from this year's conference. I can't wait to continue the convos!

Seeing so many attend the workshop on Neurodivergent Joy led by @aimee_speaks and @NeuroMuseum was definitely my most joyful moment and conference highlight knowing that so many are wanting to make museums accessible for neurodivergent people. (3/6)

Your responses will help us to continue to advocate for neurodivergent people in the sector. The survey will be open until the 29th of November. Easier to read versions of the questions are on hand too. Thank you for taking part! Please share with colleagues and friends. (2/3)

PS: the article says 1 in 100 children might be autistic. The proportion of the population that is neurodiverse is probably nearer 1 in 10.

After doing a huge amount of reading around neurodivergence, I'm really interested in the urban design implications. After decades focusing on making spaces more lively, animated & sociable we need to be designing calmer, greener and kinder cities. #autism thedeveloper.live/opinion/to-mak…

Presentation! Back in March, I spoke at the inaugural #NDMuseums24 conference, organised by @NeuroMuseum. They recently uploaded the morning talks recordings, including my talk on my PhD findings relating to the museum workforce (1:36:26). Access here: youtube.com/watch?v=US3f2z…

Having some fab museum visits as part of my @NeuroMuseum @ace_national DYCP work this month and feeling very lucky to get to do what I do! 🥹 Museum friends, please reach out if you think there’s anywhere with ND friendly or sensory provision that I should explore ❤️❤️

Our staff neurodiversity network would love to line up a little programme of (virtual or in person) speakers for the year. Any recommendations for neurodiversity related speakers? #neurodiversity @NeuroMuseum

As we conclude #AutismAcceptanceWeek, I have been reflecting on the @NeuroMuseum 's inaugural conference #NDMuseums24 It's evident that embracing neurodiversity, not only enriches our collective experience but, is crucial for creating truly inclusive museum spaces.

@NeuroMuseum "Making people realise that it isn't always expensive to make things neurodivergent friendly" Justine highlights that many of the decisions you can make, adjustments that can be made and access-enabling tools don't cost a lot - but have a huge benefit to everyone #NDMuseums24

@NeuroMuseum principles create a clear framework for action. And this slide makes it clear that we are all in a journey and there are things we can do. #NDMuseums24
