@DanCook26214426 When I was 6 my Mom took us to the social security office. Easy. At 10, I went to a police station and they gave us ID cards. Easy. At 12, I used that card to get my junior high ID card. Easy. At 15, I again used that PD ID to get my driver's permit. And, once again, easy.

@Neurocell83 @SandyofCthulhu I’ve got the ebook. They didn’t quite word it how I did, but the basic idea applies. Something else I noticed, flipping back a few pages: when Krum catches the Snitch, the Irish Seeker had actually seen it first and was diving for it — Krum caught up and got it instead.

The golden snitch is a terrible rule for a real game. Imagine a game in which you have 7 players on your team. Six players are plugging along, fighting to win the game and then all of a sudden one of the two seventh players wins everything and all you did was a waste. BUT, Rowling wasn't designing a game. She was designing a part of her world she used to add drama & tension. The function of the Seeker & the Snitch was to put Harry in a position of both importance and danger. In that regard it works fine. 1/4

@manmandangon My jaw was wired shut after surgery in 1991. I couldn't open my mouth, but I could suck small food down. Cutting burritos and pizza into tiny pieces was weird, but after only eating soup, shakes, and beer, it was so good to eat real food.
