AEW is having a tremendous year? Lets see... -Their world champion is a 150lb cruiserweight whos driven fans away - Their biggest star MJF got buried for no reason except to try and fail at stealing WM headlines - Their women division is the worst its ever been - Their matches are still the same. You seen one. You seen them all -Edge is still burying relevant talent due to his massive ego - Zero interesting stories - Less than 5 interesting charscters - 90% of talent cant cut a good promo AEW has been bad all year

Woods and Kofi knew this shit was fried btw. There’s a lot of long time vets that have seen the company around them morph, not loved what it’s become, and have actively questioned their place in the new landscape. There are wrestlers there that’d always seen themselves as lifers now coming to grips with the reality that that’s no longer likely, and are gearing up for the next step as it continues to become more and more plainly clear that WWE is no longer a wrestling company, for the wrestlers, for the boys.
