another crappy real terms pay cut is not a “reasonable” offer @SteveBarclay #IstandWithJuniordoctors
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

This is ridiculous. Health Secretary @SteveBarclay is running around UK news shows today telling viewers he’s made Junior doctors “a reasonable offer” but they are striking anyway. What he didn’t say was his “reasonable” offer is just another crappy real terms pay cut of 5%

This is about stopping Sunak’s government using a Ministerial decree to overturn a vote in the Lords. Its the first time ever the government has tried to use secondary legislation to directly overturn the will of Parliament. It’s an unprecedented abuse of power & MUST BE STOPPED
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

13,000 HAVE NOW SIGNED the petition calling on @LabourLordsUK to back the fatal motion tabled by @GreenJennyJones to stop Sunak’s Government restricting our right to protest through an unprecedented abuse of power Plz keep signing & sharing change.org/p/ask-labour-p…

This change to the law will substantially undermine the right to protest in England and Wales - its an unprecedented abuse of secondary legislation & the first time the Government has used "Henry VIII" powers to reverse the express will of Parliament
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

“What is the point of Parliament if a Minister can just ignore the outcome of debates and votes by imposing draconian laws on the public?” @GreenJennyJones This is a make-or-break moment for parliamentary democracy - where is the outrage from UK media?

The Government’s #AntiStrikesBill is an attack on working people’s freedoms. We must continue to oppose it at every stage.

They make exams and tests harder to make sure that fewer children do well. When the results come out the papers will say that standards are going down, which is teachers' fault and children are becoming stupid. In an election year the govt can say they'll make it all better.

THREAD: The Benefits of EU Membership Let's remind ourselves of some of the things Brexit took from us when we left the EU. (Not an exhaustive list.) 1. No barriers to trade with the world's largest trading bloc. (Bristol, Berlin, Barcelona all equally accessible.)

The Governments insane refusal to even acknowledge the catastrophic damage Brexit is inflicting on the country is not just dizzying stupidity but grossly negligent. If you agree RT this widely

“The Government does not believe it would be appropriate to hold an inquiry into the impact of Brexit” That was it’s response to todays debate & this is what our terrified Government doesn’t want the public to know

You couldn't design a more effective totalitarian dystopia than the one we're in right now. One where everyone's brainwashed by propaganda without even knowing it, where everyone thinks, acts, votes and shops exactly as their rulers want them to, all while thinking they are free.

@mrjamesob This Orient Express story will be batted away by brexity sulkers as another ‘middle class’ thing they didn’t care about anyway. Like Erasmus, seasonal jobs for students, queues at passport control, tomatoes, exchange visits, visas for touring artists… So many slamming doors.
