I don’t want to be a hater, but a lot of those invites were not people that would sustain in the entertainment industry. Twitch would actually be a much more respected platform for entertainment if events like these scouted creators with talent matching industry standards.
By that, I don’t just mean by Twitch’s standards, I mean, people who if they were plucked from their streams today could also be at the top of a call sheet on a series, or someone who is naturally gifted at hosting and can command a stage. If you want to find the best and brightest out there, with your boat load of funding, and show that Twitch is a legitimate platform for entertainment. You gotta drop the IRL streaming clout chasers that will only sustain for half a year and drop off because their biggest ideas are to do pre planned stunts and pranks.
Nobody is going to be watching that kind of content a year out from now. Bookmark this and see how right I am.
