It is actually completely normal for a woman to want to worship a great man, and for a man to want to serve a beautiful woman. Mutual devotion is a beautiful thing. Mutual reverence is a beautiful thing. For two people to experience each other as sublime is a beautiful thing.

I have this new rule for myself that has been helping me lately: If fear is the only thing holding me back from something I know the Lord told me to do, I do it anyway. Even when it doesn't make sense in the natural. Even when I can’t see the full picture. Fear should not have more influence over your decisions than obedience. Obedience is necessary to fulfill your God given purpose. I encourage you to do the same.

@DarrelFrater Wow recently I also came to a similar realization. If fear is holding me back from doing something I must do the thing. If fear wants me to do something I must not do the thing!

I didn’t ask her to say this… Let me tell you what happened. Last Saturday, Carla Holmes, a student in our Build Up class, bought a copy of Micro Obedience, Macro Impact after our session. When I walked into the class yesterday she was so elated to speak with me. She told me she went home, opened the book, and couldn’t stop reading. She’s writing questions in the margins… reflecting on every chapter… even reading parts of it with her daughter at the park. Then something unexpected happened. Later in class, she stood up in front of everyone and shared how much the book had already impacted her life. Moments like this remind me that this book was never about me.
