Year 6 represented our school values excellently this afternoon during their visit to St Bede’s church. They learnt more about Holy Week and Holy Communion. Thank you Father Ian and Father James! 🐣⛪️

Year 3 enjoyed two workshops today! First we were reminded about the importance of our attendance at school and positive routines. Then we learned about different strategies for tackling feelings of anxiety.

Year 2 are enjoying ‘The Last Supper’ and learning about Palm Sunday as part of our Easter Experience

Many thanks to Father Ian, Father James and Pauline for coming to help us learn more about Holy Week today. We had fun re enacting The Last Supper, making palm branches and saying ‘Hosanna’ to welcome Jesus and thinking about Jesus on the cross and what this represents.

Year 3 acted out parts of Theseus and the Minotaur as part of their hook lesson. Can you identify the different parts of the story?

Today’s Art Club : exploring textures to build landscapes and background designs for our final artwork next week.

Year 5 have had a brilliant day at Lindisfarne with our very own Viking tour guide, Ragnar.

Year 6 were constructing their own embedded clauses about the Vikings this morning in English. We talked about how these make our main clauses even better and more informative: ideal for our upcoming Non-chronological reports.

Lots of opportunities to practice batting and fielding skills this morning in Year 1’s cricket session with Coach Matty. We have made amazing progress in just 5 weeks ! We love cricket ! @NCB_Cricket

Year 6 are discussing how others have shown RESILIENCE in their lives. They are having some brilliant discussions! 👏

Our science club have been recording their songs to be added to their cards. They have really enjoyed exploring sound with @nustem_uk

4PM had an incredible day celebrating Red Nose Day!

Year 6 had an insightful workshop on Tech Safety with NDA.

Year 3 showed excellence in PE today by listening to multiple challenging instructions and then practising attack and defence skills in a brand new game.

Year 5 had a fantastic time at the Newcastle Eagles Hoops for Health tournament. @NewcastleEagle @hoopsforhealth

We have been composing music in pairs today in Year 1. We have explored different combinations of F G and A to see what sounds the best.

The Year 5’s in school today have been amazing. Such a busy morning!

Art club members have been exploring different styles of portraits. Tonight we looked at Henri Matisse as our inspiration.

Well done Year 6, you investigated the lever system as part of your science learning!
