One of many reasons we are feeling grateful: Last month, New Horizons supporters came together for our annual gala and had the opportunity to hear from a few special guest speakers. Thanks to our generous community, the event was a success and raised vital funds for NH programs.

We're so proud of our New Horizons apprentices! Throughout the year, New Horizons offers 4-month paid apprenticeships to youth and young adults in our community who are experiencing homelessness.

Thank you to the incredible folks at Microsoft who spent their lunch hour filling backpacks with hygiene products for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. We are so grateful!

Construction update! We're in the middle of expanding the Nest transitional shelter from 12 to 30 rooms. These rooms will be private, trauma-informed spaces for young adults to call their own as they work to meet their long-term housing goals.

It's officially Fall! We're ready for pumpkin weather 🎃 As the temperature lowers, there are more and more opportunities to support our shelters. Go to nhmin.org/current-needs to see what youth and young adults in our community need most right now.

When you're experiencing housing instability, it can be hard to find community — for many youth and young adults we meet, skateboarding has provided that sense belonging. We're constantly impressed by the resilient of these young folks.

Last month, we hosted our annual New Horizons Got Talent event in our Day Program space and it was absolutely PACKED with entertainment. Lots of youth and young adults came and gave it their all — our staff judges had some tough decisions to make.

On Thursday, New Horizons staff and young adults went on a field trip to Discovery Park and the weather could not have been better ☀️

Last week we were so happy share our space with Youth Ambassadors from the Gates Foundation Discovery Center. In addition to painting the Day Program garage & cleaning the emergency shelter space, these incredible high schoolers toured The Nest & heard from New Horizons staff.

It may be July, but every month is Pride month at New Horizons 🏳️‍🌈 We'll continue celebrating and supporting the incredible LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults in our community all year long.
