That means the Embolo incident in Switzerland vs Argentina should never have been handled the way it was. The damage is already done, though. Argentina benefited from an intervention that UEFA’s own interpretation now says should not happen. Call it an “error” if you like. When every major mistake keeps favouring the same team, people are entitled to call it something else.
