This is not politics as usual. We’ve never had an openly authoritarian leader in office. Nor have we had a party totally subservient to their leader. We must resist as such during these not normal times.

One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been leaked. An Israeli soldier filmed and published this clip while proudly boasting about the destruction of all homes in Gaza. A video that the world must never forget.

The Administration telling you it’s making America healthy again just made your drinking water less safe. Trump’s EPA rolled back the first-ever federal limits on forever chemicals, stripping protections for four substances linked to kidney cancer and developmental delays in children. There was no new science to justify this decision. Just a White House that looked at decades of research linking these chemicals to cancer and decided that protecting polluters mattered more than protecting your family’s drinking water. nytimes.com/2026/05/18/cli…

NYT out with a jaw dropping investigative report on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. 60 Minutes reported last Sunday on some of this, too. The NYT report is a must-read, the 60 Minutes report should then be watched. 1/3

The data center boom has a geopolitical shadow. Think about it- in a world where military systems run on compute, the buildings that provide that compute will become targets. And the messy part is that a lot of this infrastructure is dual-use with civilian data, banking data, cloud services, defense contracts, intelligence workloads all potentially blurred inside the same ecosystem. So if these facilities are being built next to neighborhoods, schools, and homes, people deserve to know more than “it brings jobs.” They deserve to know what kind of infrastructure they’re living next to, what risks come with it, and whether their community is secretly being folded into the map of modern warfare.

Dr. Craig Spencer is a public health professor and emergency medicine physician at Brown University who survived Ebola in 2014. He says it's not a coincidence that the world is seeing a new outbreak of the disease, as well as hantavirus and rising rates of measles in the United States. "If you recall, it was just over a year ago that Elon Musk gleefully declared that they were throwing USAID into the wood chipper. And you may recall that Elon Musk also sheepishly said at his first Cabinet meeting that he mistakenly canceled Ebola prevention but turned it back on. For many folks, the story ended there, but what actually happened was there was an Ebola outbreak, and DOGE and Elon Musk cut all the support that we normally would have been giving to respond to that Ebola outbreak. The result was that exactly USAID, who in the past would have been supporting things like airport screening in Uganda, was not providing that logistical or financial support. USAID and other partners would have been providing support to make sure testing was adequate, to make sure a vaccine rollout could have taken place, but we didn’t have USAID on the ground. "Similarly, CDC has long had relationships in this part of the continent, in Congo and in Uganda, and a lot of those relationships have broken down and withered over the past year, because we just haven’t been paying. Similarly, the U.S. has pulled out of the World Health Organization over the last year, which means that in normal circumstances our CDC folks are not able to even talk to World Health Organization people, something that is absolutely unbelievable and an incredible mistake for something that we should be able to do and be prepared for at all points. "And the result is what we’ve seen over the past couple of weeks with hantavirus, we’ve seen with the dramatic increase in number of measles cases in the U.S., and now Ebola in DR Congo and across the border in Kampala. This is not all just a coincidence. This is a consequence of us cutting back our support, not only here at home, but also abroad. democracynow.org/2026/5/18/ebol…

Russia threatened to do this if Ukraine attacked the May 9 parade on the Red Square. After Trump’s intervention on Putin’s behalf, Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire so Russia could hold the parade. Two weeks later, Putin unleashed the ballistic missile barrage on central Kyiv anyway.

Horrific. Morning footage from Kyiv Ukraine after Russia poured ballistic missiles on civilian neighborhoods, targeting apartment buildings, schools, markets, and bomb shelters full of people. Video: @radiosvoboda's reporter Serhii Nuzhnenko.

In new episode of #SistersInLaw, we discussed Trump’s $1.7B slush fund. As you can see, I am not letting this go. It is an outrage, and we can’t let the next outrage overshadow it. We do have some ideas—a bill to refund its funding. politicon.com/podcast-episod…

🚨🚨The Trump Crime Family is more corrupt than the totality of All Previous Organized Crime Families Combined in the history of the United States. ——————————————— I spent thirty (30 years investigating Major Organized Crime Families & Gangs and without a doubt, Donald Trump has committed more crimes against the United States of America and its citizens than all Organized Crime Syndicates. TRUMP is directly responsible for the theft of billions of dollars and the systematic destruction of our economy, the rule of law and our democracy. TRUMP must be Impeached and Removed from office by the U.S. Congress this year. Both Democrats & Republicans must join together to save our nation.

Jennifer Combs, a resident of Trinidad, Texas, was actively arrested and jailed simply for making a Facebook post exposing the city's brown, contaminated tap water. The city officials panicked over the bad publicity, hid behind a garbage law, and used the local police department to lock her up under the guise of "preventing public alarm." Let’s be entirely real: this isn’t law enforcement; it’s tyrannical retaliation. Since when does a local bureaucrat get the right to suspend the First Amendment because their infrastructure is failing? If the citizens can’t openly criticize the basic hiding-in-plain-sight truth of what’s coming out of their own common faucets without getting a mugshot, the system is completely broken. She is officially suing the city for violating her civil rights. Is this Texas or North Korea? 🎥: Fox 4 News

I am a US citizen, but I have never in my life been so disappointed with the US. The reasons are many: 1. The US people have elected a president who represent all the deadly sins. How could they do that? Are they so morally deprived? 2. Lying has been normalized. Trump made it the standard. 3. The US used to claim the non-partisan rule of law, but SCOTUS has been proven utterly corrupt & obedient to Trump. 4. The US used to boast about its checks and balances, but they don't exist. The republicans in Congress are obedient servants of one man. 5. The US used to oppose corruption, but the Trump crime family is probably the most corrupt ruling family in the world. How can SCOTUS & the republicans in Congress accept that? 6. The US used to be considered a democracy, but massive gerrymandering & voter discrimination make US elections not very democratic. 7. Reporters without Broders have rightly lowered the US to rank #64 in its sound World Press Freedom index. the US no longer has media freedom, because of extortion and oppression through defamation court cases. 8. The US used to be the security guarantee of the free world, but Trump only praises Xi Jingping, Putin, Lukashenko & Kim Jong Un. Is the US able to extract itself from the Trump trap, in which it has fallen so deeply?

#BREAKING: Jansing: “A federal judge is blasting what she calls the incredibly shocking behavior of federal prosecutors, dismissing all charges against a group of immigration protestors known as the Broadview Six…the judge says her trust in the DOJ was broken after learning of prosecutors communication with grand jurors OUTSIDE of the jury room, excusing grand jurors who disagreed with the government’s case, and what she found MOST problematic, was that all of the misconduct was REDACTED out of transcripts.”🤦‍♀️

The Israeli army ordered the evacuation of a residential tower housing dozens of families in preparation for its bombing, which forced residents to throw some of their belongings from above in an attempt to save what they could. Just ten minutes after informing the families of the evacuation, the tower was completely destroyed and reduced to rubble.

If President Trump is “the one who does it” and attacks Cuba, then it’ll just b the next impeachable offense he has committed and flagrant violation of the United States Constitution, US domestic law, and international law by attacking yet another country that did not strike us, and poses no threat to us. This administration has ceased to be governed by the rule of law, and has set itself above both international law and domestic law. President Trump is now free to do virtually anything he wants, bc no one can stop him. The republic we all thought we lived in, has ceased to exist.

A U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton drone is once again carrying out ISR operations around Cuba. On Thursday, Trump said previous U.S. presidents had considered intervening in Cuba for decades, adding, “It looks like I’ll be the one who does it.”
