They had the tying run on third, no out and could not get him home. Their pitching staff also allowed five home runs. Seattle takes the first of this three-game set.

And occasionally they’re productive.
Compared to what the Rangers have had behind the plate otherwise, his defense continues to stand out. Most important thing for a catcher.

That’s an interesting one. He’s more of a 1B than a C, but he wouldn’t play first (or DH) here. Love the bat profile and wouldn’t mind him paired with Diaz but you’re giving up defense on days he catches.
