Oh man. This is taking me BACK. My first National album. The first of so many that attached itself to various chapters of my life. Either this or High Violet is still my sentimental favorite. Despite their most impressive work coming in their two 2023 albums.

Why was I sitting on an exercise bicycle, you ask? Certainly not to exercise!
When I was a kid, we had workout equipment in a basement playroom. I was sitting on that bicycle, facing the TV, watching my sister play Super Mario World 😂

I can beat absolutely everyone with this challenge.
I was sitting on a stationary exercise bicycle, holding my breath because it made me feel dizzy in a cool way.
I passed out ... fell off ... and broke my collarbone.

@shaw_davidm When I mentioned Stockton I had half a mind to include Nash as well. Both great players. I’d give the edge to Stockton on overall production and hometown hero (I’m from eastern WA, so bonus points for Zags) but Nash absolutely has a credible case imo.

@Newborn_Salted John Stockton or Steve Nash would be an interesting conversation. Stockton flies under the radar, I think in part because he just looks like a bank teller to the naked eye. But his smarts were off the charts and he was a worthy member of the US Dream Team back in 1992.
