Julien BriseBois addressed the current NHL playoff structure on the Block Party’s final episode of the season: “I like the format. If I had to make one tweak, I guess I would go fully divisional.” Top four teams in each division make the playoffs. If you beat your own division, you play the other division in the conference finals. —————————————— How does hockey twitter feel about this idea? Personally, it’s the best idea I’ve heard. You keep the divisional rivalries & intense first rounds, but you also limit travel & create more parity across the board. What do you think? What issues are there with this system? #GoBolts

I asked Julien BriseBois about Nikita Kucherov and his 'bad body language.' Here is what he had to say. BriseBois has also been in touch with Kucherov's reps. My expectation is an extension is coming. Typically, JBB likes to do these deals a year before a contract is finished.

@Newera8697 For sure. Just improvements. We have a solid d core on paper next year, just depends on Raddysh. Forwards are good as well, could use a RH shot. I’d take Roslovic for cheap honestly. 1x1.5 or something. There’s options but I don’t expect an active free agency for us

Bolts summer to-do list: 1. Let your FAs walk. Every single one of them not named Raddysh can go. Don’t even think about bringing any of them back. They’re all dead weight and take up valuable roster spots. The team needs to find its identity again, none of them help there.

@JacksonB_99 I do have to think if we have what 13.5 mill or whatever in space yes he will do some bargain bin shopping but honestly we have to get something decent with that cap space doesn’t have to be a big name by any means

Couple of small things 11. Sign the RFAs. Both are AHL help but keep them, especially Ethan Samson. 12. Sign Ryan Fanti back to be the AHL starter (as things stand) next season. 13. Find a new Crunch HC. Let Bouchard be the GM there, give someone else the keys to the HC role.
