Not one but two double hundreds this week, including the first-ever in the Sussex Women's Cricket League from Hollie Young (208) of @HailshamCC! 🙌💯
Did Week 1️⃣8️⃣ prove the time to shine for someone at your club? ✨🏷️ #GOSBTS
Due to some technical problems 😅 we've got a double dose of honours boards for you this week! 🏆 #GOSBTS
The incredible performances certainly haven't stopped... massive congrats if you made either. 👌🙇
📣We need your support for an exciting project that will greatly benefit our community: the redevelopment of Newick Sports Pavilion! To make this vision a reality, we need to raise £50,000. Donations of any size would be massively appreciated! gofundme.com/f/support-newi…
@scbadger Truly a sad moment for the Sussex cricket league. You somehow became a psychological remedy to the wrongdoings in our games and we are still perplexed as to who told you about aboveballgate against Heathfield. All the best and just another example of how the games gone 🏏
It’s the end of road. We are culling ourselves, going out either at top, or bottom, you decide 🤣
Have a read if you like, if not then thank you for following us, we’ve had a good laugh and it’s been a lot of fun, most of the time. No offence really meant to anyone
Badge out 🔫
A great weekend for the club with both the 1st XI and 2nd XI winning their league fixtures and strong performances from all players across both teams. It certainly made the food and drinks at our first social of the season that bit sweeter 🏏🍔🍻
Never mind the general election, the bigger announcement is our first social event of the season. Before this our 1st XI take on @IsfieldCC whilst our 2nd XI take on @HaywardsHeathCC . Sadly our development game against Buxted can no longer go ahead.
1st XI match was called off on Friday due to Ringmer’s outfield being unplayable. 2nd XI won a tight and low scoring match against Lingfield by 2 wickets with the 1st team watching on from the sidelines
A match where wickets were hard to come by and despite a spirited performance right to the end Newick came out second best against Heathfield. Lots to take from the game and despite the result the great weather and strong crowd made it a great opening game of the league season
🏏 A weekend of firsts with our first ALL STARS junior session followed by the continuation of our junior coaching. Saturday then sees our first 1st XI league game of the season against @HeathfieldPCC
With the cricket season now up and running this weekend see’s the 1st teams league campaign begin at home against @HeathfieldPCC - Training continues this Thursday at 5:30pm as junior and senior players continue to get match fit for the season ahead 🏏
🏏 The sun came out and Newick enjoyed an entertaining, competitive and well spirited pre season friendly against Limpsfield. All Newick players managed to bat and bowl in what turned out to be a close encounter in front of a well hydrated crowd 🍻
A busy weekend begins with junior coaching tonight and then our first senior fixture of the season on Saturday 🏏 Signing up for junior coaching is still open
