@Churino_ If it's a character it's original, if it's a toy exclusive color scheme it's a gender bent male character. Sometimes like with that Slipstream it's a lazy repaint of a male mold for an explicit female character

@LazlowTF It's what happens when the writers want to have their cake and eat it. They want to write new original female characters, but they also want to write their favorite existing characters, so it ends up just being the worst of both worlds. A cowardly half measure every time

@magic_go_brr @jdrider02 Everything before Bay, but especially UT, coexisted on screen or by proxy with g1 designs through background extras and such. There used to be a fairly unified super robot aesthetic aside from BW, but even that had (slightly stylized) G1 guys show up

Deeply struggling to see where Onslaught's budget went. Transformation isn't all that complex, he comes with 0 accessories and his skeleton is less plastic mass than the others... Guessing there were huge budget cuts, unfortunate.
