Hey Twitter fam. Making an urgent appeal. Currently in the hospital and in desperate need for blood. I'm seeking anyone who can donate as it's urgent. Anyone can donate from anywhere in the island you just let them know who you're donating for. Jody Anderson Mandeville Regional

Golding: Businesses less than 3 yrs old should be tax exempt. Business leader: I welcome this. I will instruct our lawyers to place every new product variation we launch, even if it's just a new colour, in its own separate new business so that we never pay any taxes.

Good morning from #ABettaPlace! Pindars Valley Primary in Rock River was another recipient of the collaboration with the CHASE Fund to strengthen music programmes in schools across the constituency. With these new instruments now in the hands of the students, let’s hear their music! #CountryMP

Good morning from #ABettaPlace! For Pelrique Pryce Lloyd, the reopening of the Mocho Post Office is a full-circle moment. She was born in Mocho, she shared how proud she is to partner with the Jamaica Post to help restore this essential service to Mocho. For generations, the post office has connected families near and far and today it continues to serve the community once again. #CountryMP

Asphalt sheeting works are now underway on Barnett Street in the vicinity of Westgate, St. James, under the GO Programme. This targeted intervention is part of our continued push to improve road surfaces, ease traffic flow, and enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians in this critical commercial hub. Work will also continue along St. James Street, Long Hill, Queens Drive and other key corridors with additional works to follow under a second contract to be finalized. #NestaWorks

Richard Vernon, the Mayor of Montego Bay, welcomes the rehabilitation of Montpelier road and hails this as a timely and much needed intervention, bringing renewed hope to residents who have endured disruption for far too long. The restoration of this critical corridor will not only deliver safer, smoother travel and reliable water access, but also support the thousands who depend on this route every day for work and opportunity. A major step forward for this section of St. James and the continued development of the city. #NestaWorks

@sagicorja surpassed their J$150 million goal, raising an outstanding J$152 million in support of schools across the western parishes. I was proud to join Prime Minister Holness, whose vision and commitment continue to inspire national action, along with my fellow Cabinet Ministers and parliamentarians, as we came together in full support of this initiative. This achievement reflects the generosity, unity, and resilience of the Jamaican people. As we continue rebuilding and recovering in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, this level of support sends a message, we stand together, and we act together. Thank you to the thousands of Jamaicans, partners, and volunteers who continue to contribute to the recovery effort. Our schools and our students are stronger because of you. #NestaWorks

In order for you to be taxed for using specific online services, they will have to track who you're spending with online (likely through your local bank). Read between the lines about where this might be going.

That's not true. The streaming services will be the ones collecting the taxes on accounts being billed and paid in Jamaica, that money will then be turned over the to Government, when they're doing their accounting. Nothing to do with accessing bank accounts. In your line of work, you should know this, stop fearmongering.

It was an important moment standing on the Oaks Bridge, a structure older than me, and a reminder of the state of much of our infrastructure across Jamaica, old, worn, and in need of care. For many years, our bridges were not properly maintained because the economy was too weak to afford it. That is why we have changed our approach. We are no longer just building things and hoping they last. Everything we build now will come with a plan and a budget for maintenance. Through the Accelerated Bridge Programme, we will repair and replace 48 bridges across the island, plus seven emergency bridges. Many of these will be in vulnerable areas like St. James, Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth, Hanover and Trelawny. These bridges are critical for daily life, for school, work, farming and business. As the economy grows stronger, we are investing more in maintaining our roads and bridges.
