We are supporting a new project with @SolarAird to bring solar energy to the poorest communities in rural Malawi. Light a Village was successfully piloted in 2022 in 500 homes in the Traditional Authority, Kasakula, Ntchisi District, Malawi. #solarenergy

We are installing two solar-powered community owned and managed water purification systems with @balavikasa_ngo in two rural villages in the Telangana State, India. The 2 villages where the systems will be implemented were selected because of the poor existing water quality.

We have partnered with @IstitutoOikos to replace diesel water pumps with solar-powered water pumps in two rural villages, Ndedo and Irkiushioibor, in the Region of Manyara, Tanzania.

The Foundation’s Trustees have approved a grant to supply oxygen concentrators in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, in partnership with Fromu2Them. A total of 25 oxygen concentrators will be distributed across hospitals and COVID-19 centres. #pandemicresponse

Last year, we planted over 38,000 trees across three projects with @onetreeplanted. One project centered on alleviating the damage caused by Cyclone Fani in India and involved planting trees to restore the sustainable livelihoods of the small-holder farmers in the state of Odisha

Since 2017, @EmpowerMalawi has provided lighting for 140 primary schools in the District. Since December 2020, solar lighting systems have been installed on 51 new schools – this will expose 22,326 students to solar energy for the first time. Located here: bit.ly/3bzQVdH

As part of our response to the socio-economic effects of Covid-19, we donated to @PaddingtonAcad. With this, 52 laptops were purchased. In May, 23% of Year 7 students were completing & submitting up to 70% of their assignments. This increased to 41% by the end of July. #education
