replying in this thread just made me realize i’ve been sitting on this article written about me after i graduated my coding bootcamp 😶‍🌫️ re-reading it really puts in perspective how far i’ve come on this journey into tech & solidifies that i’m still happy that i made the pivot 😌

For those of you who are struggling with the state of the world, and find yourselves with tears or so much emotion it can feel overwhelming: I hope you never lose your capacity to experience empathy, because it makes you human. It is abnormal to not feel anything, and to blindly adapt to a fundamentally unjust world. Let your love move you to solidarity and action and community, to be an example for what is possible and help create a world that is different.

Girl to girl, please start creating again. Write your thoughts, draw your feelings, color outside the lines, read something that feeds your mind, dance like nobody’s watching, craft something with your hands. Your soul is craving that version of you again.
