Women have always worked to fit the Hollywood image to achieve fame & fortune. But, Latinas often have the added pressure to fit a stereotype. Take Charo: a gifted classically trained musician, but better known as the “Cuchi Cuchi,” bombshell.

@ABritoArt Yes! Although this is often true of all women on all media (think old sitcoms & even animation: The Simpsons), it is really blatant in Spanish language media. Sabado Gigante, telenovelas, etc

@Neyda_Borges I still don't feel represented in media as a female Cuban to this day, because I have yet to see examples of myself on screen that feel human.
