There is no relationship between physical activity and non-disjunction during cell division . Physical activity is actually recommended in pregnancy with benefits to both mother and child with research indicating it improves placental circulation which actually supports overall fetal development. In summary moderate exercise as seen in this video is both very good for both mother and child . Let’s go back to Down syndrome . So what are the known risk factors ? Advanced maternal age ( clearly not the case here ) , increased paternal age also indicated in some studies , family history of chromosomal abnormalities , previous child with Down syndrome .
