Let’s not forget that even in our quests for more, we have everything we need — to do what we need to do. And even when it looks like we don’t, we STILL know how to make something out of nothing. Black is Resourceful. But you knew that already. 👊🏾 #BlackHistoryMonth

So, in less than 48 hours I’m taking a group of 24 high school juniors to Belize for a week…. After having a house full of 6th & 7th graders the last two nights for my sun’s birthday adventures, and “graduating” 13 seniors tonight for Scholar Day. Yeah. Pray for my strength.😅

I’m hosting a webinar Thursday night for entrepreneurs and educators wanting to publish this year. We’re talking about the advancement of AI and how to use it to our benefit to push out books. If you’re interested in tapping in, send me a DM. ✨ #TheLiteraryRevolutionary

And y’all don’t judge my parents, they was on their good righteous behavior, enjoying a wholesome day at the park while the shenanigans were going down 😅😅😅😂😂😂 …or so they say. 🤣

That moment when your parents tell you that you might be in the #FreakNik documentary too, cause they had you out there in your stroller. I’m done. Cause not me being in the mix. 😂😂😂😂

Of all the American artists Rena could have put in the Calm Down remix… he chose Selena Gomez? None of the Black American artists were available?

The fact that I've had to turn the heat back on is really upsetting me and my homegirls.

Recently, an elder and retired teacher, asked me, “why would a wonderful educator like yourself leave the classroom when so many youth need you?” I respectfully responded, “Auntie, my classroom is everywhere and sadly, ain’t much learning going on in Amerikkkan Public Schools.”

Recognizing that even in our class discussion, OURstory never starts with the Civil Rights Movement or slavery, but of events that took place pre-colonialism and the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.

The fact that even today with it being the first day of BHM, we didn’t even have to talk about it or make a big deal of it in class because BHM is an every day reality on our campus brings me so much joy.

Understand that the prepping of this video was a setup designed specifically to trigger your feelings of anger, anguish and hopelessness. DO NOT GIVE AWAY YOUR POWER. Say his name. Light a candle. Call on your ancestors for strength. Protect your peace. Reclaim your spirit.

You don’t need anymore reminders that the hate for Black people is real. Don’t give this vile system any more power over you by watching that video. Say his name. Light a candle. Call on your ancestors for strength. Learn about Afrikan spiritual resistance. Reclaim your spirit.

The way the media has “prepped” the people for the release of this video is the setup of all setups. I will no longer give this shitstem power over me with the constant display of Black death and trauma. I encourage you to call your power back as well.
