@FDSportsbook Took this franchise having the 1st, 4th, and 2nd picks in consecutive seasons for them to be relevant. Honestly sad.

@sixringsofsteeI Isn’t it just fascinating how LUCKY they got guys?🤓It’s quite an impressive stretch of LUCK they got with the lottery!🤓We’ve never seen anybody get that LUCKY, it almost seems impossible!🤓

@GetUpESPN @VinceGoodwill The difference is by design, not a flaw. From a marketing perspective, "pretty" basketball is better for the reg. season. More highlights, more scoring, less physicality sells. The playoffs is where you determine the champion, so of course it should be more competitive.
English

"I think the league has trended too far towards pretty, and not towards competitive. That's why playoff basketball and regular season basketball looks like two completely different sports."
@VinceGoodwill shares his thoughts on flopping in today's NBA 🏀

BREAKING NEWS:
Government blames Government for something Government should have done.
🙄🤨🤔
Jamaica Observer@JamaicaObserver
A commute from New Kingston to the foot of Red Hills — usually a 20-minute drive with no traffic, or 40-60 minutes in peak hours — took one motorist three hours last Friday evening while another motorist reported moving only five car lengths in an hour on Eastwood Park Road shortly after 5:00 pm. jamaicaobserver.com/2026/04/20/pm-…

@machalagun @AdamSchefter This is a function of fans not understanding how NFL contract extensions work and media not doing a good job explaining. This is 3 year EXTENSION added to the 2 remaining years of his 5 year rookie contract. So when spread across the full 5 years it's not actually $50m/yr.
English

@AdamSchefter Insane resume, no doubt but $50M/year after just three seasons is exactly how teams trap themselves. You’re not just paying for production anymore, you’re betting he never dips. One injury or slight regression and suddenly that ‘historic deal’ looks like a cap nightmare.

Will Anderson Jr. in three NFL seasons:
🏈Defensive Rookie of the Year
🏈2x Pro Bowler
🏈First-Team All-Pro
🏈30 sacks
🏈4 forced fumbles
🏈3 fumble recoveries
🏈64 QB hits
And now: the NFL’s first-ever $50M-per-year non-QB.
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Source: Will Anderson is signing a three-year $150 million extension that makes him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. The deal includes $134 million guaranteed.

@DamienWKing Alternately, Jamaica can take inspiration from other countries that have successfully avoided this "resource trap". Norway (oil), Botswana (diamonds), and even Guyana more recently (oil). All have invested extracted wealth in diversifying their economies.

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz 2020: 4600yds, 40TDs, 12 INTs, 102 rating
2021: 5300yds, 43TDs, 12 INTs, 102 rating
Brady perfected that offense. Arians has never had a better performing QB in his system. You are utterly delusional.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz And apparently you still don't understand that they had to change the offense because Brady couldn't finish the season running Arians' offense. Brady was throwing those same interceptions Winston was, but yall blamed the receivers for those picks..lol
English

“tom brady saved the bucs in 2020”
meanwhile, the 2020 bucs:
C.J. Gardner-Johnson@CGJXXIII
Let’s not forget Tom Brady saved the bucs….. we all know
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz You say "even with turnovers" and the 30 INTs like that's just a throw away, meaningless thing. Being a turnover machine is not how you win superbowls. Jameis has been that his entire career. They were never winning a championship with him. No matter how much they fixed the Def.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz That's the story until you actually watch and breakdown the games. 2019 Bucs were a top 10 scoring offense, even with the turnovers. As I said before, "30 interceptions" allowed a lot of people to ignore the real problems that team had outside of QB (and how it was fixed in 2020)
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz There's discord in every team. Who cares. The most important thing is performance on the field, which is what you referenced with Jameis' numbers. Brady's first year with Arians was excellent cuz he was a significant step up at QB.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz There are articles about the discord with Arians and Brady, how the Bucs couldn't beat any good teams, and how they had to modify to offense for Brady. By the next season, that offense was identical to the Patriots. They ran the same offense, until they didn't (Week 13 bye week)
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz You're under the impression that I'm disregarding the defense. I never said any such thing. The defense was excellent and you need a good defense to win a Superbowl. But there are plenty of great defenses that never win one. A great QB was the missing piece for the Bucs.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz But the thing that you are still missing in this is you really can't talk about a Super Bowl without talking about that defense. Brady gets all the credit but those that know, know
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz In Brady's first year in Arians' offense he had 4600yds, 40TDs and 12Ints with a 102 rating (and he was even better Year 2). So maybe, just maybe...Brady is a significant step up at the QB position than Jameis and that made a difference in carrying that team to a Superbowl.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz Let me tell you like this; in Bruce Arians offense, the quarterback always have their worst season year 1 & he threw for 5100 yards, 33TDs and 30INTs. I don't know about a Super Bowl but folks that understands Arians' system that year 2 would have been a problem
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz So, is it your opinion that the 2020 Bucs win the Superbowl with Jameis? And I'm allowing you to assume that their all time great defense (which is what you seem to think it is) remains.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz 2020 Bucs defense gave up 30 points 3 times the entire season and went 1-2. 2019 Bucs defense gave up 40 against the Rams, 32 against the Giants, 31 against us and 40 against the Seahawks in the first 8 games of the season. First 8 games is why the 2019 Bucs missed the playoffs.
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz Still gotta convert TOs into TDs. And, to reiterate, Bucs don't go beyond Wildcard without Brady's brilliance in that game. You seem to gloss over that. Also several games in the regular season where the defense was trash and they won anyway: Chargers Wk4 and both Falcons games.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz About 50% of the Bucs TDs in the playoffs came off turnovers. The Bucs put up 30 points on us and all 3 of their TDs came of turnovers, with 2 of those drives starting in the red zone. Scored 4TD against the Packers with 2 coming off TO, including an 8 yard drive.
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz "The defense carried" a team that scored 30+ points in every game in a 4-game playoff run. Ok Saints fan.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz Then the defense carried the rest of the playoffs. I’m a Saints fan; I know how we lost in playoffs and I know it wasn’t Brady.
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz The very first playoff game, Wildcard at Washington, the defense didn't show up. Made Taylor Heineke look like Lamar Jackson. Brady was brilliant. Without that performance there's no superbowl. That's just one example. Give it a rest.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz Won it immediately because of that defense. Brady was along for the ride in the playoffs but a whole lot of people aren't honest about that. Because folks really didn't pay attention to the Bucs in 2019, Brady is getting a lot of credit. Crazy he got no blame for 2022.
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz They were not ever going to win a superbowl with Jameis. Won it immediately with Brady.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz Jameis threw 19 interceptions in 5 games and they had a 1-4 record. Nobody talks about those other 11 games because it kinda kills what you are going for. They lost the games against the Giants, us (Saints), and Seahawks and JW had 1INT and 1 fumble across those 3 games
English

@BasicallyJAH @woahbuncherz Jameis threw 30 ints the season before and was a turnover machine. They were never winning a superbowl with him. Nobody's saying the defense wasn't great. But it was great before and constantly undermined by the QB. Brady solved that and won games when the def didn't show up.
English

@NicardoNeil @woahbuncherz The Bucs did more for Tom Brady in 1 offseason than they did for Winston in 5 and they still had to change the offense during the bye because the Bucs couldn’t beat good team. Defense carried that team through 3 of those 4 playoff games.
English

@thecinelost One of my all time favorite sci-fi series. Rewatch the whole series at least one every few years. Acting, writing, effects, production value…all top notch.
English

@KETAMINEFREAK It's simple, really. People like their teams and their guys and dislike any team and player they perceive as a rival. It's not logical, it's emotional.
