I can only gather that the hype around this variant (that’s been around), is only a thing now because when it’s infecting people for the 6th time it’s having severe acute effects again for the majority of people who lived with survivor bias for the first 5 (in other words, it’s more noticeable & less ignorable) and while ignoring the damage from failing to mask this entire time increases everyone’s susceptibility to infection & ability to clear the acute symptoms, they’re taking the opportunity to use it as another scapegoat, like a bat in a wet market, a 3 minute walk from the lab hosting the virus 🤦‍♂️

Ich frag das jetzt alle paar Jahre mal: Ist es schon soweit, dass wir jetzt zum Wohle der Kinder die Missstände, die im Rahmen der Pandemie offenbar wurden (Lufthygiene, Schulorganisation, Unterrichtsausfall, mangelnde Inklusion, Bildungsgerechtigkeit etc) angehen, oder gilt immer noch, dass es erstmal (sic) wichtig ist, irgendwelche phantasierten „Täter“ vor ein „Nürnberg 2.0“ zu stellen?

Beides ist wichtig. Zunächst sollte die Öffentlichkeit erfahren, dass keine einzige Corona-Maßnahme gegenüber Kindern und Jugendlichen verhältnismäßig war. Das war von Beginn an klar. Somit wurde potenziell gegen ein Bundesgesetz verstoßen (Vorrang des Kindeswohls). Es gilt also, sorgfältig herauszuarbeiten, wer dafür hauptverantwortlich ist und wer nur Mitläufer war und fälschlicherweise glaubte, etwas auf Basis von Wissenschaft zu tun. Das ist die Basis für einen Wandel. Die Verantwortlichen sollten selbstverständlich nicht die Gestalter dieser Aufarbeitung sein, da ein massiver Interessenkonflikt vorliegt. Der Öffentlichkeit muss erklärt werden, wer dafür verantwortlich ist, damit sie diese Personen nicht erneut wählt. Gleichzeitig ist natürlich auch das Wohl der Kinder von großer Bedeutung. Die von Ihnen angesprochenen Probleme sind jedoch sehr alt und höchstwahrscheinlich bewusst in Kauf genommen worden. Auf politischer Ebene ist kein Änderungswille zu erkennen. Das Geld wurde schließlich in Masken und anderen Unsinn gesteckt, die nie hätten gekauft werden müssen.

Good news for fermented foodies! A new study says bacterium found in fermented kimchi adheres to nanoplastics in our gut & may help our body excrete more than twice as many! The bacterium, which is also present in sauerkraut, helped evacuate 57% of nanoplastics in human intestine simulations. Fermented foods just got more interesting! h/t @ken_trails
