@datboitom The “dissonance” is a result of people being allowed to think for themselves and disagree on topics yet having the maturity to acknowledge that you can’t be a single issue voter. I disagree on Gaza and capital gains taxes stance, but it’s not only about me.

@Nicho0le Last bit, I just personally felt like there was this dissonance with the democratic party this time around on issues I deemed mission critical and I felt the party no longer spoke to me, I do think post-trump if the party doesnt shape up its gonna fall apart like republicans did

@Nicho0le Yes but when hes explicitly saying I’m picking a woman it creates this perception of it not being merit based. We can all admit that. Also I don’t think Tim Kaine, Walz, or Pence were chosen as VP to be frontrunners in the future so its less relevant.

@datboitom For Pence and Vance, Trump expected a lackie. Obama then Biden didn’t. I legit thought he’d step down in the 2nd term so she could lead. Regardless of how you feel about how she was chosen, she is beyond competent and has brought together the most incredible campaign and message

@Nicho0le I personally looked at the Kamala VP as a fill the gaps candidate like Mike Pence. Thats how I considered it when I voted for Biden last time.

@datboitom There was merit when he chose her as VP and her record is exemplary. Most people expect the VP as frontrunner for President after. I chose her when I voted their ticket in 2020. Trump is not there on merit. Vance damn sure isn’t. So, again, intellectually HONEST convos please 🙏🏾

@Nicho0le When biden says hes going to pick a women or black women it gives people the perception there isn’t a merit based process and I think that deeply delegitimizes things not to her benefit. People need to believe there are fair processes, not whether there actually is or not.

@datboitom But, to lie that her campaign is horrible (it’s not), or no policies (there’s tons), or she harmed black men (she didn’t), or that Biden was terrible (by stats, he’s one of the most effective). That’s wild to me. Like, let’s be intellectually honest here.
