🇬🇭 “If I show you my ID, I’ll send you to the office and lock you up”
— An off-duty immigration officer has been accused of intimidating an Indian national in Kpando after allegedly demanding to search his vehicle without explanation.
The tense confrontation was reportedly defused by a police officer identified as Aryee.

@barkervogues Imagine your house is filty with refuse of dirt ,and someone want to clean your house for free and send those garbage to his refuse dump, will you prevent such person ? All bcos of one person? Using crime to justify the other, is a poor judgement ,from people, with poor mind.

If the Americans wanted to return Ken Ofori-Atta, the moment they cancelled his visa; they would have bundled him on a flight to Ghana.
100s of West African nations have been sent to Ghana despite Court orders saying they can’t. Some were just bundled despite ongoing court cases, to Ghana. We allowed them to do this.
So for me, this is a case of if they wanted, they would.
My suspicion is that they will continue to hold on to him as leverage against the Government, so that the more political pressure mounts on the NDC for failing to bring him, the more they can use him as a bargaining chip to get even more from us.
But two can play that game! 'Eneke the bird says that since men have learned to shoot without missing, he has learned to fly without perching’.
They need to cast their mind back to what the PNDC did to them on the Soussoudis-Sharon Scranage affair.
Someone tag Mahama and his Ministers for me.
Shalom!

@Elorm_Hood Is not about the vehicle 🚗 but those are driving it .we should start checking our drivers before allowing them on the road .why are the MTTD not on our high ways ?to check over speeding?
English

We respectfully call on the Highway Authority to take a closer look into the work of various supervisors on ongoing road projects.
Poor supervision continues to affect the quality and safety of our roads, and accountability is needed to ensure standards are met.
The public deserves durable roads, proper oversight, and value for money.

In addition to the over 24,000 pieces of hospital equipment to be distributed to various health facilities across the country as part of the Free Primary Health Care Programme to be launched tomorrow, 350 Health Posts will be put up in public places such as bus stations, markets , schools among others, to make basic health care accessible to all including the 35% of Ghanaians who are not on the NHIS. I stepped out earlier today with the Minister for Health to see the beginning of the assembling of these fully-equiped Health Posts. This add on to existing health facilities and those under construction.

English

Minister for Health says Free Primary Health Care is a Government policy that guarantees that every Ghanaian can access a defined package of essential primary health care services free at PHC level.
This applies at CHPS compounds, health centres, and polyclinics across the country
Beyond the delivery points, there will be a more structured approach to disease prevention and health promotion by moving into our communities and households with these services.
