The key drivers of the Australian GM have created conditions that undermine economic equality, drive health inequities, and create excessive GHG emissions that contribute to climate change.

We show that the Australian GM has become more reliant on domestic consumption fuelled by rising house prices and a permissive credit environment to drive economic growth.
