@AuldM @piersmorgan This is why we need to talk about it. Things need to change. Men definitely need to have more input and rights when it comes to children, as, even though it's improved, that's still definitely not an equal playing field.

@Nicholstix @piersmorgan I come from a mining village with a curse for young men killing themselves and the majority of times it's a break down of family with 'social services' being involved were men are victimised, deprived of access to home/kids etc

@AuldM @piersmorgan True, there's too many negative connotations to the word masculinity, and that needs to change. Being masculine and having a toxic masculinity are two totally different things, but too many sadly seem to often mistake one for the other.

@Nicholstix @piersmorgan I think PM is bipolar. But that's only an opinion. He is right in a lot of what he says. Men have been 'feminised' led to believe masculinity is toxic. This has led to the situation we now face

@AuldM @piersmorgan I didn't see the signs before my friend took his life, none of us did. If I can do anything to stop that from happening to anyone else I love, by raising understanding and getting people talking, then I will. I'm not going to apologise for caring.

@Nicholstix @piersmorgan Men are suffering in the western world. males die by suicide three to four times more than females.Suicide attempts are between two and four times more frequent among females. We don't suffer the same

@AuldM @piersmorgan You have no idea what my day to day life is like or how much I or anyone else is suffering. Maybe the suicide rate is higher amongst men because they feel they can't talk about it. It's mental health week, these kind of debates are good.

@AuldM @piersmorgan Watch the show. He is so dismissive of mental health, using words like "cry baby", "man up" and "be a man". That doesn't scream someone who has a great knowledge of mental health at all. If he does, then he has a really weird way of expressing his support for people struggling.

@Nicholstix @piersmorgan Men and women are different and while some illnesses will have similarities there will always be huge differences in cause and effect. How do you care when you're dismissing a man who says he has knowledge of Mental illness.
