What can someone do to make the @AnaheimDucks a competitive hockey club? The @NHL is a better league when the Ducks are competitive.

@Chamber32Doors @SamAMcKee I’m not saying that guys don’t still work out their shoulders and other muscles. What I’m saying is that the focus is not on being a large upper body, heavy bench press player. It’s all diet and calisthenics nowadays.

@NickAndreoli8 @SamAMcKee All arm strength starts with the shoulders. If you have feeble shoulders, your chance of injury is exponentially higher.

@Chamber32Doors @SamAMcKee New game suggests it’s best to have massive legs and stay slim up top and not load on too many lbs up top. Adds to quickness and movement in the upper body. I’ve seen lots of guys go to school and lift upper body too much and it slows them down. Strength in legs, wrists, forearms

Hot take. Just looked at @utahhockeyclub roster on their website. I firmly believe they have a playoff hockey team for the 24/25 nhl season. It’s crazy the kick start these expansion teams get now compared to teams like Columbus, Nashville, Minnesota, Atlanta back in the day

Lyubushkin was acquired by Toronto in 2022, played last 31 games for them. Mark Giordano was injured tonight vs Arizona. Sheldon Keefe said postgame that Giordano suffered a head injury, but didn't know timeline. Hopefully, he makes a quick recovery.

Anaheim has pulled Ilya Lyubushkin from lineup tonight. Ducks and Maple Leafs have been involved in discussions, we will see where it goes.

Slafkovsky playing well lately. 13 goals now 19 years old and finding a groove. Good for him. I want the Canadiens to be good. Fans around the league may hate hearing this but the NHL needs Montreal being competitive and I love it when the Habs are in the mix.
