On yesterday's BJHH, @AndrewStoeten and I were skeptical of a Max Scherzer reunion, then it happened immediately. Having Mad Max is undeniably fun. Not sure it will be useful. When he's available, TOR will be compelled to use him, and there could be an opportunity cost to that.

@Smitty_Cali Schneider wasn't great against lefties last year, but in his career, his OPS vs. LHP (.725) is pretty similar to what he's done vs. RHP (.743). I think you see Schneider against lefty SP and, depending on the situation, a fair amount of Myles Straw as an in-game option.

Really like this move for Toronto. Jesús Sánchez can't hit southpaws, but he has a 113 wRC+ against RHP over the past three years with 41 HR in 1196 PA. Helpful role player that cost TOR a guy who was having a hard time breaking through, entering his age-27 season.
