Just wanted to say thanks for all the Villa and football chat over the last 12 months. Going to delete the app from my phone now. Spending far too much time getting angry about non-football (ie racist) stuff. Selfish I know, but I need to focus on my business and family.

Wonder if Villa will accept a loan with obligation now, seeing as they have a player who doesn't want to play for them on their hands? This could all turn out to be so so sweet for West Ham, after seemingly agreeing reduced fees for Summerville and Füllkrug already.

Jhon Duran will return to #AVFC next week and Unai Emery says the striker still has a future at the club. "I will work again with him like last year, trying to get progressively better with him. We will work in the future like the process we are doing being very demanding."

@pstaggert @VillaViews_ Yes, and Pau building from the back. In theory Donk and Digne, although obviously a concern defensively should be able to pass OK. But the angles and patterns just aren't the same with Pau. At least, that's what I felt watching on my phone. Not the most reliable view TBF.

@WhatTheForkLads Does anyone actually know it's his agent causing problems? Everyone assumes it, but we've all had 'difficult' customers and clients we do our best to look after and meet their needs. I'm probably just going back to my days running pubs; bloody hated awkward customers.

He is proven to be menacing when he gets the chance, he just isn't setting himself or teammates up to get those opportunities. Touches that over complicate the move or take the ball into pressure

Its only pre-season and...bla bla bla. But what worries me, is in the first 5 periods in the US, we have hardly produced chances. Chelsea created 20+ chances against these guys. They are playing pre-season aswell. Btw, Bogarde again impress me😉 #UTV #avfc🦁

@espenstrand @NickDore239156 @turner295 It's fair to say that yesterday most of the times when he received the ball, he had e players around him. The ball also just kept getting caught at his feet. Happens some games.

There seemed to be a split second of complete relaxation in their bodies before striking the ball. Can that be taught? Is it, as you suggest more psychological, how you deal with that pressure? TBH I've no idea.

@MTVilla1983 @NickDore239156 @turner295 He has worked on his pace and explosiveness. That can sometimes affect ball controll. Pressure usually does too. But pressure is part of developing. If you cant handle pressure, you will never become a top player.

@MTVilla1983 @espenstrand @turner295 Agree. Felt sorry for him yesterday, looked frustrated with himself. But Ollie's and Duran's first touches aren't always too silky either. So if he does get a full season with our coaches you never know.

@NickDore239156 @espenstrand @turner295 He is a good player but for me he hasn't taken his chances in a villa shirt. Expect he will end up being a top championship player who every now and then gets shots at PL like an Andre gray or lewis grabbin for example. Could be wrong.

@MTVilla1983 @espenstrand @turner295 Brian Little said he needs to relax and looks like he's trying too hard, rushing everything. I think that's true, but the elite strikers do this naturally. Archer makes great runs and (usually) shoots hard and accurately. He'll score goals, decent sub. But all round game? No sure

@espenstrand @turner295 A lot of chances in the first half broke down with archers lack of control/first touch unfortunately. Just had a poor game.

@espenstrand @turner295 There were also a lot of injuries last pre-season and first few games. I don't just mean us, seemed to be all PL clubs. And I'm not saying we've found the solution, long way to go. But I reckon they're approaching it differently. Less intensity, less minutes. Had to try something

Witnessing all the violent racist attacks in England in utter disbelief & horror I was born & raised in England & have been a doctor in the NHS for over 15 years I’m British. Yet, for the first time, I feel I don’t belong in my own country and fear for my own & my kids’ safety due to the colour of our skin 😞
