@astndbh not denying that neymar lacks big moments compared to messi, ronaldo and maybe some others. but a lot of genuinely amazing neymar performances in big games seem to have been forgotten because messi, suarez, iniesta, etc were also doing stuff at the time
English

@astndbh lots of his big moments are unfairly overlooked. barca's best player in 2014/15 champions league - scored in both legs of the quarters and semis, and again in the final. also scored in copa del rey semis and final same season. multiple big moments in a treble-winning campaign
English

@SirToshi_Nakamo @PictureSporting that was the series after (2013/14). england won 3-0 in 2013 with bell scoring 562 runs
English

@PictureSporting Ian Bell and England for absolutely pulverised by Mitch Johnson this series - I’d be surprised if he scored more than 300 runs
This is completely false 😆

only prediction for this is that the most prominent needle drop will be starburster

the post-ashes reflections will recognise this as the turning point in the series. we are so back

@FootballCliches @CDEccleshare @D_C_W assume we all clocked rob green's accidental radiohead in the 20th minute of west ham v liverpool?

@BazNMFC joe root has the same number of test match double centuries away from home as steve smith, virat kohli and kane williamson combined
English

Root will always the worst of the big 4. I will die on this hill until he does something special outside of England.

@127J_H tried and tested technique:
- check score throughout the night
- dream about checking the score (extreme highs and lows)
- struggle to separate fiction from reality
- have an existential crisis
- pretend it doesn't matter
English

@hayesy316 @cric_blog absolutely right. archer was trying to get him out, not give him concussion. but the idea that this was just some bouncer that had no real impact just isn’t true. it was arguably the most pivotal moment of the series given smith’s phenomenal form at the time
English

@NickElliott91 @cric_blog I don’t think it was Archer’s intention to injure Smith out of the next test, I think he wanted to get him out. Also I don’t think that’s a very sportsmanlike attitude to have
English

Jofra Archer vs Steve Smith in Test cricket:
164 deliveries
94 runs
ZERO dismissals

English

@hayesy316 @cric_blog wicket = smith's innings ends
concussion = smith out of next three innings
given smith's incredible form that series, this bouncer proved to be a better outcome for england than getting him out. pure speculation but australia probably win in leeds (and the series) with smith
English

@cric_blog But he bowled a nasty bouncer once so who’s to say which is more important

@FootballCliches after the international break it’s kairat almaty v pafos which is simply the most conference league fixture in champions league history
English

@FootballCliches he will allow himself a wry smile while using the phrase 'part and parcel of the modern game' before questioning the impact of social media on wider society
English

@FootballCliches running track, referee who looks like trossard, lee dixon… an ominous feel to this already
English

@jonknowsitall @Prithvi10_ root vs india vs 2021/22 is a legacy-defining series. 737 runs at an average of 105 with four hundreds. nobody else on either side scored 450 runs and only one other england player (bairstow) scored more than 200 runs. england were a one-man batting line-up for most of the series
English

@Prithvi10_ He's a run machine no doubt, but he doesn't have any legacy defining series yet; which is why i am hesitant to put him ahead of Smith or Kohli. If he retires today, what will he be remembered for after 10 years? Smith has Ashes19, BGT14 & 17 and WC15. (1/2)

@BCAFCCAM last week the thought of checking a bradford score had never crossed my mind but now i’m shaking with excitement at the thought of the chickens dishing out an absolute pecking
English

I genuinely think 91 of the 92 league clubs want us to win on Saturday 😭😭
Twitter will be carnage if we win
LP@LP15393
Not even a Bradford fan but I can’t wait to use this on Peterborough’s feed when Bradford take an early lead and I’m scrolling across scores while I’m at our own game Saturday😂😂 #bcafc
