@thanhartsock Conventional tillage I’d say that sounds about right. For strip-till and no-till I’d say 50% sounds high. Maybe more like 30-35% for those systems

@LowBoomLowDrift You are right though that it would be riskier with a wider nozzle spacing because the boom won’t always be at a 10 or 15 inch boom height. At times it will be lower and in those instances the 10 inch spacing of the Horsch boom would be an advantage. It’s a really impressive setup

@NickFleitz @ksufearless Correct. We often run this boom at a 10 inch boom height in windy conditions.

@LowBoomLowDrift @ksufearless Most nozzles manufactured by Hypro are designed/validated to provide a <7% CV at a boom height of 15 inches on 20 inch spacing.

@LowBoomLowDrift @ksufearless Not necessarily. A nozzle with a 120 degree spray angle on 20 inch spacing will achieve 100% overlap at a boom height of 14 inches Same scenario on 15 inch spacing will achieve it at a boom height of 11 inches. Modern nozzles can be run lower than most realize

@LowBoomLowDrift @rgstone1 At shows they’ve had size 01 tips on and the reps I’ve spoke with said they spray at 1 mph. Not sure if that’s what we’re seeing in the video or not though

@rgstone1 What size are those tips and what’s the gpa ? I imagine they would have to be pretty tiny to drive that speed? Any plugs?
