Bayern's first offer for Nick Woltemade was deemed 'laughable' by Stuttgart and reinforced the impression that Bayern are acting 'almost disrespectfully' in the Woltemade case. The offer was worth €40m plus €5m to be paid over 4 installments. There's now radio silence between the two clubs. Negotiations have not resumed since the first bid. Bayern and Stuttgart are currently too far apart with regard to the transfer fee.
The situation is further complicated by the fact that CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, acting as an extension of Uli Hoeneß, has interfered in the negotiations several times. The exchange between Max Eberl and the VfB executives, however, is said to be positive
Stuttgart are determined to remain firm as they hold all the cards - either they get a lot of money or they keep a German international. A quick agreement is unlikely unless FC Bayern makes the "extraordinary offer" demanded by VfB
