I can’t be reading this right. This has to be some knock-off Hall of Fame or something, it can’t be the actual NFL Hall of Fame. There is not a single world whatsoever in which Bill Belichick should not be a First-Ballot Hall of Famer.

And while I'm proud of the work our company does to achieve the fantastic results we continue to deliver, I'm troubled by the violence I see in the news and all over social media. In all sincerity, I worry for the security professionals who are tasked with finding a solution for EVERY scenario and are challenged to do it with little to no budget. They must feel hopeless and constantly on edge. When you see an active assailant on a bus or at a laundromat or at a grocery store, do you think, “Why didn’t that get stopped? Why wasn’t the response faster?” Well, I do. I'm no longer surprised when I see an attack. I'm horrified and, quite honestly, scared about how I would feel if that happened to my family or my children. And truly, the only solace is that I work for a company that is working to help solve this problem. With all of the software companies I've worked for and helped to build, this is the most meaningful work I've ever done. And there is hope. There are a lot of brilliant people at good companies doing the work in the security space, and more importantly, there are great leaders implementing solutions to make our private and public spaces safe. In our industry, we talk about events in a very sterile, mechanical way. You’ll often hear comments like, “Is your software left of the bang (before the shot) or right of the bang (after the shot)?” The industry now seems to be obsessed with stopping a crime before it happens, and the people who are looking to check the security box act as if it’s a replacement for appropriately responding and reacting to an actual event. And, as an investor, I fully understand the argument that to get proper market penetration and achieve maximum growth velocity, you need to have a good-better-best offering that addresses both the left- and right-of-the-bang. Maybe the “winning” solution will be a combination of technologies merging. Perhaps it will be a brilliant R&D company that figures it all out. Who knows?! But I do know that the technology is getting better, and I see a light at the end of the tunnel. And I sincerely believe Databuoy will be a significant part of the solution to making our schools, airports, stadiums, events, and commercial properties safer for everyone, and honestly, that feels good.

With 4 minutes left in the game my son asks, “Can the Bills win this game?” I said, “Sure, I’ve seen crazier things happen in the NFL.” But I didn’t actually believe the @Ravens would choke the way they did. When it really mattered, the Ravens couldn’t get 10 yards to seal the victory. Sadly, that is why I don’t expect to see them in the SuperBowl. I hope I’m wrong because @Lj_era8 is amazing and deserves it.

We’re installing in Las Vegas and with major retailers, and we can pinpoint exactly where the shooter is located. If we put some cameras in place, we can give you the exact moment of the shot, even if the person is shooting a rifle from a distance. Mirror that with cell phone information pinging the towers in the area and we’re pretty sure we can give you exactly who is shooting at your dealerships.

I have to say it feels like a repeat of last year. The Chiefs won a game where the other team squandered opportunities to get to the Super Bowl. And the Niners get smoked in the first half by the team that will go to the Super Bowl and lose to the Chiefs.

Brock Bowers is great, but listening to Sean McDonough hard sell him as a Heisman candidate is ridiculous. He’s no Charles Woodson or Desmond Howard, let alone Caleb Williams. Yes, he will be great in the NFL, and any quarterback will be lucky to get him, but stop the hyperbole.

As someone who has lived in Vegas for 40+ years, you have to take advantage when you find someone to fade and make a fortune. I wonder who @stephenasmith likes tomorrow?
