Interesting from Brant Dunshea on affordability checks. Good as far as it goes but I am with @thebedfordfox and think affordabiity checks need to be completely removed. I cannot see normal gamblers not being dragged into them if they continue in any form.

As reported by @TheSun, King’s trainer William Haggas has warned new affordability checks risk pushing punters towards the illegal market.
Ministers promised frictionless checks, but the Gambling Commission risks delivering the exact opposite.
Forcing punters to hand over bank statements isn’t frictionless. It’s intrusive and will drive many to unsafe, unregulated sites.
Get this wrong, and everyone loses.

Great news that greyhound racing will be banned in Wales! Pushing dogs to their limits for entertainment and profit leaves many with life‑changing injuries - and too often an early death. Westminster should follow suit and call the last lap on greyhound racing.
