NEWS: Drake sophomore Okku Federiko intends to enter the transfer portal, his agent Teddy Archer of TAA Sports Agency, told @LeagueRDY Federiko is a 6-foot-9 forward out of Finland who spent time at South Carolina before playing this season at Drake. He averaged 8.6PPG, 4.8RPG, 1.5APG and 1.0BPG this season.

Iowa’s rotation today included 5 Drake transfers and 1 Robert Morris transfer who hit the game winner and they just beat the defending champs. Do with that info as you will.

I don’t want to tattle but my college basketball expert @Return_Of_RB told me the grass isn’t always greener on the other side in regards to Iowa firing Fran McCaffery. Said it was the wrong move. It took 1 year for them to go further than their entire 17 year run with Fran.

Bennett Stirtz didn’t have a strength coach last year at Drake. Having one this year has helped him play the hefty minutes he’s been playing all year: “I feel as good as the beginning of the season and as strong as ever.”

@chris_meglio I love Bennett but this is patently false. Connor Warrick worked with our MBB team last season. I’m sure Iowa’s sports performance dept. has more at its disposal than we do, but to say Drake men’s basketball did not have a strength and conditioning coach last season is not true.
