Mitchell RB Corey Simms rushed for 1,742 yards this season, which is the most for a sophomore in Pasco County history. Simms led the county in touchdowns this season with 28. The Mustangs will be a tough opponent in 2024.

Mitchell QB Cayden Thomas is the second sophomore in Pasco County history to throw for more than 2,000+ yards in a single season. The first was Land O’ Lakes QB Kyle Horvath in 2021. Thomas threw for 2,175 yards, Horvath 2,076.

Do the Mitchell Mustangs return the most productive players going into the 2024 season. They return key players from both sides of the ball and expect this group of kids to make some noise over the next couple of years.
