The Board would like to address an incident from Tuesday night, where a small number of supporters directed abuse towards Raynes Park Vale manager Hayden Bird. Let’s be absolutely clear: this is not who we are. Hayden took charge of our club when we were fighting at the wrong end of the table and went on to lead us to a play‑off final. Whatever the occasion, personal abuse towards him or anyone connected with visiting teams is completely out of order. We’re proud to have one of the biggest, loudest and best followings in the league. Our reputation as a community club matters, and we won’t allow the behaviour of a few individuals to undermine it. Any repeat of this on Saturday will result in the person responsible being removed from the ground and banned from future matches at Fetcham Grove. A final reminder: discrimination of any kind has no place at our club. Fetcham Grove is for everyone. Let’s show the unity and respect that make this club what it is.
