@SiddallJoe 3 yrs ago stance seemed more closed and compact. Shorter and quicker to the ball. Used his back hip to come to the ball keeping hands in. Led with the hips not the shoulders. Shorter and earlier load and on time for fastball

note the controlled forward move (due to good load, body engaged) allowing barrel to turn behind the body…creates space to get to 94/95mph…as opposed to more steep…ball gets on you quickly & the move is rushed

It’s a good deal if he is an occasional starter and comes in for defense late in a game. Anything more than that and we are running back the same sub par offensive outfield. More important to find a top 4 or 5 hitter rather than a 9 hitter.

It was another huge weekend for our Whitecaps All-Star/Select program!
The 10U team won the Cactus tournament in Dundas.
The 14U All-Stars won our own Canada Day Classic after a 7-week delay to the championship game.
The 16U won the 18U Dedicated Select Ontario Championship.

Congratulations, the 14U Whitecaps won the Canada Day Classic. The championship game was originally cancelled due to rain. Finally able to get the game in. The game against Milton Mets was over after 5 innings on the back of an eight run , 4th inning. @oakville_llb is proud.

Congratulations to our 16U Whitecaps. They defeated the York 18U Dedicated Select team to win the 18U Baseball Ontario dedicated Select Provincial Championship. @oakville_llb is proud of this team. Great way to end the season.

Our Whitecaps program had a very successful weekend at the Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament in Kanata this weekend. The 10U All-Star, 12U Select and 14U All-Star teams all won championship titles in their divisions. Great job!!! We're so proud of you!
