@BekahHW My assumption is that it's workplace support. My team has technical debt, uncertainty (to some degree), and occasionally missed expectations... But - No hustle culture - 9-5... No questions asked if life throws a curveball, and we support each other...

80% of programmers are unhappy (workspace satisfaction survey). Some of the reasons include hustle culture, failed expectations, technical debt, uncertainty, and poor health. Idk the solution, but I think deep work periods, rethinking dev productivity, and some sort of code sabbaticals is a good place to start.

@dailystem @jsnhubbard It’s a safety thing. If a flat metal wire or card slips in and the two flat parts are up it creates a short - and possibly a fire. If the ground is up then it is safer

@jsnhubbard Yeah, there’s some people who argue that’s the correct way to install, something about it stays in better

After 3 years in this house it was time to rotate 3-way switches so they’re both in the down position when the light is off (just make sure every switch in a multiple box is off at the breaker)
