@NickTheSerene @notebookninja_ @iWomansplainer Sometimes people are attracted to one another, even when they're completely different. I never saw that with Harry and Ginny though. Ginny was a completely blank slate, at least Ron and Hermione were decently fleshed out characters.

I used to think this too until I re-read the books. The movies failed to capture Ron’s intelligence and charm. Hermione, an only child from a muggle family, would be drawn to the large, magical Weasley family. She also is not meant to be drop-dead gorgeous like Emma Watson, and Ron is supposed to be very tall and become quite attractive. Her relationship with Ron is a slow burn, but it makes complete sense.

Ron & Hermione story is perfect because it’s a slow burn that starts from them being bickering friends to love birds. The reason people started wanting Harry and Hermione was because of how the movie portrayed their characters on screen, and because of how flat they made Ginny.

You say that as though the Harry and Ginny romance was perfectly executed in the books, and it wasn't. Ron and Hermione makes sense because he is the lazy native who takes his powers for granted, and she is the enthusiastic outsider excited about this new world, allegorically it makes a lot of sense. But the author fumbled that relationship too. I adore the Harry Potter books and movies, the Rowling is not a romance author.

@AstroCounselKK I used to argue with girls in my school who found hakla attractive. My conclusion: most girls don't have standards as long as the guy is rich and famous. Nothing in my latter life has proved the hypothesis inaccurate.

@ChrisCarranza @iWomansplainer The author is free to craft the story they wish to. It never made any sense to me that a brilliant, driven girl like Hermione would find joe average Ron attractive. The man had no skills. Similarly Harry with Ginny never made sense to me.

In the books, she crafted the storyline in a way that ensured Hermione and Ron’s relationship. However, she has since expressed her belief that Hermione and Harry should have ended up together. Considering her statement, it’s evident that she would have written the narrative differently. Claiming that the current books clearly indicate that Hermione and Ron were meant to be together is not a valid argument that dismisses the desires of readers who wish for their relationship to be portrayed in a different light.

He was just a sidekick to the hero. Similarly never got what Harry found attractive about Ginny. Just another girl who had a crush.

However, the mid-market segment (AED 2–5 million) remains relatively stable. Buyers are cautious, but sellers are equally unwilling to cut prices aggressively. It’s a classic wait-and-watch phase. So if someone claims Dubai real estate has crashed 50–60%, I’d say—take that deal immediately. General belief is that tourism will take time to recover, and those dependent on commissions—especially in sectors like real estate—will feel the pressure. Construction activity has almost come to a stand still. Smaller firms with stretched balance sheets and high leverage may struggle.
