@MikeHerndonSk1 Mike knowing what we know (Borgonzi, Saleh, team needs) why is Bailey still +400 to be taken number 4. Feels like he should be the betting favorite? Don’t think we take Tate at 4, and Love (betting favorite) feels like too obviously a bad pick at AAV. Thoughts?

David Bailey's true pass set win rate (TPS PRWR below) at 38.6% is an absolutely ridiculous number. Bend is great but it isn't the only way to win as a pass rusher. Bailey won and produced at a truly elite rate in college.

@volkstyles @VelvetMilkmane @MikeClayNFL You should kick to keep it 1 score game. What opponent does is dramatically changed if they think they’re only down 1 score (can lead to incompletions and clock stoppages). If you’re down 2 scores game is shorter and much harder to win. More info doesn’t = better chance

If you are down 8 at the end of the game, you are forced to make a 2pt conversion which is hard. If you lose, game over.

@All_Things_Bama @Lakeshowsb29519 @Haarper_ he had a bad foot injury and missed a long stretch. Was a response to OP saying he’s ’nothing’. On a team with a 41 year old star regular season innings eater who has proven to be a difference maker in W/L is important. But also sucks how flaws make him unusable in playoffs

@Lakeshowsb29519 @All_Things_Bama @Haarper_ 25-11 when he played, 25-21 when he didn’t play last year. 18-8 when he played and 25-31 when he didn’t in ‘23. Flawed player especially for playoffs but definitely provides lots of regular season innings eater value

@MikeHerndonSk1 @DaytonaVice Which guys we talking about? Dike and Ayomanor? Two 4th rd guys? Think that’s a mistake - considering they didn’t consistently separate in cfb. Why not set up Cam for success w/someone who can separate against plus corners (e.g. Diontae - no shot we do it with focus on character)

@Nick_Firestone @DaytonaVice I think Lockett is still a serviceable WR2. It’s not a great WR group obviously, but I think they’re going to play the young guys. They had to get another adult in the room, so they grabbed Lockett, but they need to let the young guys sink or swim imo.

@MikeHerndonSk1 @DaytonaVice Lockett is pretty dust. Van Jefferson pretty awful. Feel like it’s a pretty big mistake not to get a legit starter at WR. The young kids are more fliers with potential traits but not separators. What’s your level of concern?

@DaytonaVice No, I think they added their vet in Lockett and should use him, Ridley, Jefferson, and the young guys. They want to get younger there.

@sethawilliams79 @MikeHerndonNFL There are rarely franchise “definite” qbs. Probably isn’t one next year either. Take him and if he’s not good, you will be picking near the top again with another chance. Don’t take him and you’re guaranteed to be bad or mediocre without having taken a stab at a qb

I would not have to think twice if the Giants offered 1.3, 2.34, a 2026 1st, and a 2026 3rd for 1.1. That’s an automatic yes for me.

@MikeHerndonNFL That’s fair. I’d argue his feel for pressure and nuance pocket movement are two of the most important non-coachable / innate traits that you need to be successful. Add in his pre-snap ability, mental makeup and elite creativity outside of structure and he has upside & solid floor

@Nick_Firestone Plays outside of structure too often. Maybe that can be reigned in, but I don’t think the way he’s played in college can be continued at the NFL level with success. He’s going to have to learn to play within the offense and save the hero ball stuff for when it’s required.

This would be a little surprising considering fit with Callahan’s offense, but I do think that Ward is pretty clearly the highest ceiling QB in this class. That said, taking him at 1.1 would make me a little queasy.
