It is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of @aronjosiah
Aron has been a familiar face to many of our supporters over the years. Joining the club at the start of the 2018/19 season and making over 200 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, Aron has cemented himself as a true Grays Athletic Legend.
The club woukd like to wish Aron and his family all the very best of luck for the future. A genuinely lovely guy, who always has a smile on his face, we thank him for the memories, his time and professionalism whilst with the club.

In this Backyard, it’s “win or go home,” and this crew hasn’t left since the 90's.
Where there’s a pitch, there’s a legend.

@ChrisBa13206760 I just feel it’s a very simple, narrow minded approach. You are effectively saying that a player who plays for a bigger club is a better footballer because they’ll win stuff. And that’s not true.
This board should be blamed for not pushing on yes, but it’s two separate points.
English

@ChrisBa13206760 I don’t think you can say otherwise, and narrowing it down to a three year period, where let’s be honest - in my lifetime (I am 33) I have never seen make an FA Cup Final - we are not at those echelons of football. I never thought mid90s I’d be strong hearing in the conversation.
English

I don’t like this narrative.
I get it, but it’s not the view point. He didn’t waste a career, and nobody “deserves” anything in football. Harry had chances with Spurs - ironically, played in a game he may never play for Bayern and didn’t deliver.

I know Kane loves the club and the fans but understand why he shows little love publicly for us, the hierarchy ruined his legacy. Failed to give him a squad or project capable of winning major honours when it was so close and blocked a promised move to City where he would have won the lot. He stayed as long as he could but manager after manager and project after project failed under enic
English

@Billie_T And FWIW, he was done to City. They didn’t fork up the money we wanted (and deserved). They (bizarrely) opted for Grealish and tired to get him cheap. He walked around the pitch knowing that deal was done that summer in COVID. City bulked and didn’t pay it. That’s why he stayed.
English

Harry Kane had chances. The problem is the chances were against Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea - all teams with far superior squads. We have him a bench of Onomah, Janssen, Nkoudou etc. Putting the onus on Kane and not enic to deliver is crazy
